Can I just start by saying that Taylee is my favorite!?! I just love this little cutie more and more every day. And I can not believe that she is 6 months old!!! She is SO much fun! Logan And I are just loving every minute with her! Here are a few things that we just love about her:

~She is so quick to smile- and it is such a beautiful smile!

~She can army crawl now and she's into everything and can go wherever she wants!

~She can sit up and play with her toys but it doesn't last long cause she's always wanting to go somewhere!

~She lets you know if you hurt her feelings. She is definitely a girl cause this happens all the time!

~She loves her mama :)

~She thinks her daddy is pretty funny!

~She loves to eat!

~She can suck out of a straw now and won't let you be selfish with your drink!

~She loves her puppy, Elle. I think she talks more to her then anybody!

~Sometimes she finds the bow in her hair and when she does she loves to pull it off and suck on it! (mom doesn't love this but dad and Tay think its pretty funny)

~She gives the best "kisses"!

~She loves when we sing to her and her favorite song is 'I often go walking' (we change the last line to "dear Taylee all flowers remind me of you!")

~She loves to sleep in bed with mom and dad all snuggled up! (we are working on this one...)

~She LOVES the shower! I think she could spend hours in there and be one happy gal!

~She is super ticklish! And has the cutest laugh! (her dad gets her going pretty good!)

~She is so talkative! We LOVE it!

We are SO blessed to have such a sweet little girl in our home! We can't imagine life without her.

My good friend Alisha took Tay's pictures for us the other day and I love how they turned out! The pictures show a bit of her personality (some serious, some happy, some just show how darn pretty she is!) and like I said,Taylee is army crawling all over the place now and is into everything! So it wasn't easy to get these pics but we got it done! Thanks Alisha!

I can't believe this little cutie is four months old! Time just flies so darn fast these days. Logan and I could not be happier! I think Taylee is pretty happy too! We are enjoying every second of every day with Tay.

This is where we started with our little girl- 7lbs 9oz

2 week visit 7lbs 15 oz

2 month well child check- 12lbs 14 oz Notice 95% in weight and 97% in height! We love that she's got a little extra chub!

At 2 months Tay started smiling and even laughing a bit when you tickle her! She has just been so much fun! Here are a few pics of her around 2 and 3 months old.

Daddy celebrated his 27th birthday! We both agree that the very best present that we have is Taylee! :)Taylee at 4 months- 15lbs 13oz (85%!) She has been SO much fun! She laughs all the time and is so happy! Her dad has a little too much fun tickling the poor girl! She is SUPER ticklish! She laughs at her crazy mom- and is talking aka "cooing" and has so much to say! She has such a cute personality! Taylee has recently learned to roll over and does it so quickly now. She definitely has some lungs and for sure knows how to use them! I think she's a beautiful singer :) We just love everything about her! Look at those big feet!

We got to go camping with my sister and her family and it was so much fun! This is pretty much what Taylee did the whole night! She is getting harder and harder to sleep with- she takes up so much room! lol All three of us slept in the same sleeping bag! We got to go on a few different four-wheeling trips with family and had a blast! Taylee doesn't totally love it but she still did good and was happy as can be the second that we took her out of her pack.

We even got to go swimming a few different times and Taylee loves it! Don't we all wish we had cool shades like Tay!

She is a pretty good snuggler too- and we just can't get enough of her!
We just love love love this little girl and I'm pretty sure she loves us too! We are all so happy right now- On one hand I wish I could freeze this moment forever and on the other I'm so excited for the future! We love you Tay- SO so SO much!

I have SO many pictures of Taylee that I just can't ever decide how many is ok to post! She is SO much fun and we really are just loving every second that we get to spend with her.

Poor Daddy :(

Logan was out one night playing basketball with some friends and twisted his knee while he was trying to do a cool trick. We went to the doc the next day and found out that he had torn his ACL :( The poor boy had to get surgery but he was so good about the whole thing. The doc says it will be about 8-10 months of recovery but so far he is recovering pretty well.
In the recovery room right after surgery. Logan had some pretty funny things to say when he got back! I got a pretty good kick out of it but I still felt bad for him :(

Taylee did such a good job of taking care of her daddy in the best way that she knows how! Lots and lots of cuddling!

Island Park Adventures

A few months ago we got to go to Island Park with my family and spend the week there. It was SO much fun to spend some time with family! We went four-wheeling, hiking, a little bit of sight-seeing, and lots and lots of eating and playing games! SO glad we were able to go!

Our sweet little girl was blessed on April 24, 2011 Easter Day. Her daddy did such a great job! It was such a beautiful blessing and such a wonderful day. My little brother Adam, who just recently returned home from his mission in Mexico City gave his homecoming talk that day so we decided to have Taylee blessed that day since a lot of our family would already be here. (I promise I will post pictures of Adam and his return home on another post) We had Taylee's blessing at Logan's parents home in Hyde Park and it couldn't have been more perfect!

As you can see, Taylee looked BEAUTIFUL in her blessing dress!

It was so much fun to have Taylee wear the same blessing dress that her mom wore for her blessing! I just loved it!

She was such a good girl all day and only cried for a second during the blessing (Unlike her mama, who bawled the whole time!)

Thank you SO SO much to all that could make it. For those of you that couldn't, we missed you! but we felt your love. I am so blessed to have such an amazing daughter, husband, family, and friends. Every morning I wake up and have to pinch myself to make sure this isn't a dream. I have never been more happy in my entire life and I thank my father in heaven for that everyday.

This is the story, its going to be long and some/most of you probably wont really care but I have to get it all down so that when Taylee asks me how the "big day" all happened I can tell her, every detail! I was scheduled to be induced March 28th, 2011 (3 days before my due date) because of my insurance ending. On March 27th (Sunday night) I got a call from the Hospital asking if I could call at 4am the next morning and plan on coming in at 5am. As I'm sure you all can guess, that got us a little more anxious! We were at my parents house celebrating my moms birthday and after we got that call we figured that we'd better head home to get some sleep! Before we left I asked my sweet husband to give me a blessing and my dad, brother, and brother-in-law stepped in to help. I wish I could remember all that was said in that blessing but all I remember was that I felt so calm. I knew that everything was going to be okay and that soon, very soon, we would finally be able to meet our little girl. After the blessing we headed home and needless to say, we did not get ANY sleep that night! Woke up and called at 4am and ended up going to the hospital around 5:30am. When we got there my blood pressure was high and there was some protein in my urine. They told me that I had preclampsia and that is was a good thing that I was there to get induced. They started me on PIT right away. The hours passed and the contractions kept coming stronger and stronger. When I got there they said I was dilated to a 3+ and 80%. A little better then the 2+ and 45% I had been the previous Thursday! Every hour passed by pretty quickly and I dilated about 1 every hour. That is until I was a 9. Then everything slowed down and the nurse wondered if our little girl was coming posterior. My Doc came in to check me and sure enough, she wasn't quite posterior but turned just enough that she wasn't coming so easily. So she had me push through a few contractions and turned the babies head so that we were good to go. And finally after almost 3 1/2 years of trying to get pregnant, 2 miscarriages, many prayers, lots of tears, 9 LONG months of pregnancy, 12 hours of labor and 90 minutes of pushing, we got to meet our sweet little girl: Taylee Kae Schenk 7lbs 9oz, 19" long and we could not be happier!

When Taylee was born she and I both had a high fever. The doc decided that we should run some labs on her to be sure that everything was okay and that we needed to bring her to the NICU right away. I was SO sad. I didn't want to leave my little girl! Her first set of labs came back and showed that everything was fine but to be sure, the doctor said we should check them again in a few hours. The second set of tests didn't come back so perfect and the doctor decided that it would be best to send Taylee down to the NICU to get some antibiotics. He suspected that she had some infection and to just be safe that this would be the best plan. Logan and I spent every minute we could in the NICU with Taylee and she was such a good girl! It was so sad to see her all hooked up to machines but I just had to remind myself that everything was okay and that we just wanted to make sure to get rid of that infection. The doctor ran labs two more times on her and pumped her full of antibiotics and she was good to go! Taylee had to spend two days in the NICU away from us but she was such a champ about it! We just love her so so much and are so grateful that everything went so well!

We were SO excited for this summer to start because we LOVE going on trips with our families! This year our first trip was to Island Park with my family! We had SO much fun with everyone and are so grateful to my parents for making it possible for all of us to get together every year!

So It has been FOREVER since I last blogged and for that I appologize! We have had such a fun and busy summer! So I'll just do a quick catch up on a few of the things that we have been doing lately!

On June 7th we celebrated my birthday! We had dinner with my family and played games! It was a lot of fun and I am so grateful to have been born into such a great family!

My lil bro Jake has been serving a mission in Chicago. I dont know what got him started but one of his companions taught him how to knit! The last I heard from him I told him to knit me some slippers and a beeny for my birthday and he said he'd see what he could do! To be honest I really didnt think that he would but as you can see he did! I was SO excited and I just love em! He thought that the pom poms were a nice touch. I have to say I agree! Thank you Jake! I love em!

And what is a birthday without cake and candles! Thanks mom! And thank you to all who came and celebrated with me!

On June 13 we celebrated Logan's 25th birthday! We went bowling and out to eat with Logan's family and then had everyone over for cake. It was a lot of fun! Jaxon Val turned 8!

I'm a little slow these past few weeks but on the 20th of April, Jaxon Val turned 8 years old! We went over for a good ol' party at the Schenks! We ate some dinner, played some games, and of course had cake and icecream! We had a blast! Jaxon has such a fun personality and is always making us laugh! We are so glad that we have him in our family!

I got Baptized!

This last Saturday was chuck full of family and we loved it! Logan's little brother Jaxon was baptized and confirmed a member of the church! We got to spend some time with Logan's family and eat some yummy lunch! We are so proud of him and so excited that he made that great decision! Good job Jaxon! We love you!

I Graduated!

Also on saturday my brother Christopher Graduated from Utah State in Psychology with a minor in business! We are so proud of him as well! Chris and his cute wife Haylie flew in from Oregon so that he could walk with his class for graduation. We are so glad that we got to spend some time with them and my family this weekend. Thanks for making the trip! Good job Chris! We love you!

Last week our good friends Lauryn and Jake invited us to go to the Jazz game with them! We went down early and did some shopping and ate at Cheesecake Factory. It was great and what made it even better was that the Jazz played the Lakers and they WON! It was crazy loud but way awesome! Thanks Jake and Lauryn for inviting us! We had a blast!

Wednesday the 15th we all sadly climbed into our cars and drove to the Provo Missionary Training Center to say goodbye to Elder Adam Weston for two years to serve the Lord. It really was a good but sad day. We are SO proud of Adam and are excited for him to start this journey. We know that he will be an amazing missionary and will do so much good for the people in Mexico! We already miss him SO much! We love you Ad!

On March 24th Logan and I celebrated our two year anniversary! We didn't take any pictures of our night out but we really had a wonderful time! I just had to write a little something about how much I have loved the past two years being married to such an amazing man! Logan really is the best husband and I appreciate him so much! I am so greatful for all that he has done for me and all that he continues to do. I really could not ask for a better husband and friend. I love you Logan! Thank you for two amazing years!

This past week has been crazy busy! But it has been great! At the first of the week my dad called and asked if we could throw my mom a surprise party for her 50th birthday! All the girls in the family were so much help and we really had a fun time planning it all out and shopping for her big day! Friday we planed it all out that my dad would "take her shopping" and we hid a blindfold in his car for him to blindfold her and bring her up to our house! It was the cutest thing ever seeing him lead her into the house with that blindfold on where we were all anxiously waiting! She was surprised as ever when he took it off and we were all there dressed in black! She even started crying! She is such a doll and we couldnt love her more! We are so happy to have her in our lives! Happy birthday Mom! We love you!

This past week we were able to go to Reno for the WAC tournament. It was so much fun and so great to get away from everything and just relax. It also helped that they did GREAT and won all three games! Yey Aggies! We also got to meet up with some of my family while we were down there and they just made it even better! Last week my amazing father was released from his 5-year calling as Stake President of the Utah State University 2nd Stake. He did such a wonderful job and we know that he helped so many people and will be missed! We are so proud of him! Enjoy the time off, Dad, we know it won't be for long! We sure love you!

For Valentines day Logan took me out the night before to Le nonne for dinner. The food was so yummy and Logan was so cute! When we got home he gave me two dozen roses that were so beautiful! We didn't take any pictures that night but we had a great time! The next day we got to spend all day together! It was so nice to spend some time just the two of us! That night I surprised Logan with a candlelit dinner. We had a great night! He is a great husband and I couldn't ask for better! I love you Logan!

My little brother Adam got called to the Mexico, Mexico City North mission! We are SO proud of him! He will be learning spanish and is leaving in April! We got the opportunity to go through the temple with him a few weeks ago and it was awesome! Here are a few pictures from the night he got ordained! Good job Ad! We sure love you!

The other day our friends Jantzen and Kristen came with us out to my dad's farm and we went snowmobilin again! We have been so spoiled this season to be able to go as often as we have! Logan's dad let us take some of his snowmobiles so that we all got to drive our own. It really was so much fun! Kristen hadn't ever been but she did better than me! I'm kind of a wuss when it comes to my safety! Some of you already know that I will not ever ride with logan on a snowmobile, jet ski, dirt bike, you name it! And here is why...

Logan loves going off jumps and cliffs and whatever else he can do to get his blood pumping! So when we went up to the farm I told him I would only go if I got my own machine. Boy am I glad I did! After a few hours of riding we were stopping for a bit so that the boys could go mess around for a bit going of jumps and stuff. I was watchin Logan and all of the sudden he came flying off this jump with the nose of his sled pointing down! The next thing I know he is flying off and fliping through the air! His sled fliped all the way around and landed right side up and on top of him! I jumped on my sled and hurried over to him and when I pulled up the dang kid is just lying there with the biggest grin on his face! I about slapped him! He ended up messing up his leg a bit, he was okay and was still able to sled the rest of the day. It sure gave us a scare! That is why I dont ride with Logan!

Wow! So the holidays are always pretty busy but for some reason this holiday was CRAZY busy! It has been so great though! Logan and I both love the holiday season and we were so sad to see all of our family leave! It sure was a sad day but we are glad that they made it home safe! So here are some of the things that we have been up to this past month!

Christmas Day!!
Christmas day was the best of course! We are so blessed that we live so close to both of our parents! We got to spend the day with both families and it was so much fun! My wonderful inlaws got me a new camera and I was SO excited!! I got a little carried away with all the pictures but I just love em! So thanks Karla and Steven! You really are the best inlaws anyone could ever ask for! So here are some pictures from my awesome new camera!

The day after Christmas we all went up to my dads farm in Blue Creek and went sleddin and snowmobiling! We even got Logans dad and brother Britt to come with us! By the time we got up there we really didnt have too much time to sled but it sure was fun! All the kids were so cute in their snow gear!

Happy New Year!
We started out the New Year with a bang! We had a steller party at our house this year with my family- they werent all able to make it and we missed those that couldnt! But it sure was fun! We played games all night and stayed up talking till 4! It was so much fun! I didnt get very many pictures but here are a few!

So I just have to apologize first off because this post is going to be pretty long so I'm sorry! We have been quite busy the past couple weeks getting ready for our favorite holiday CHRISTMAS!!! We are happy to say that we finished up our christmas shopping last night and even got them all wrapped up! Whoot Whoot! Now we can just enjoy the holiday spirit!

Here is our beautiful Christmas tree! I just love it!

Logan put up our Christmas lights a few weeks back and he did such a great job! I have the best husband in the world! (picture doesn't do them justice but they really do look great!)

This is my one and only nativity scene! My cute little lady Anna (who's hair I used to do at school every week) made it for me last year! Its just the cutest thing ever! I know you are all jealous!

Projects!

So my sister Michele and I get together every week and make craft projects! We get a little crazy sometimes and our husbands think we are dorks, but we just love it! It's my favorite day of the week, so thank you Michele for always being up for whatever project we come up with! You are the best! So here are some of the things that we made this year for the holiday season! I am only posting a few because really, we get a little carried away sometimes and that would be way too many pictures!

Bring on the SNOW!!!

Christmas just isn't Christmas without the snow if you ask me! So I was pretty stoked when we woke up the other morning and there was snow everywhere!

Logan got up and went outside to shovel the walks and was out there for quite some time! Elle was hangin out with him and some neighbor girls came over to see her and the next thing you know they left and came back with shovels and started helping him shovel the driveway! It was the cutest thing ever! We really hadn't ever met them but they were so quick to lend a helping hand! So thank you girls!

Tonight we went over to my parents house and had a birthday party for my cute sister Melanie! We ate some dinner, ate birthday cake, and played around! She is such a cutie and we just love her so much! Happy Birthday Mel!

Happy Halloween! Logan and I went to my parents house for Halloween this year (so we didnt have to buy candy ourselves for the trick or treaters- haha) Jackson was there and my sister Michele and her cute family came down also. All the kids were dressed up so cute! They went trick or treating and we hung out with my dad and ordered some pizza-pretty exciting Halloween if you ask me! But the best part was my costume! I work at a pediatricians office and we all had to dress up this year for halloween- not a problem for me cause personally I love dressing up! So my cute mom and sister michele helped me make my super cool costume! it really was fun and it didnt turn out too bad! so thanks to them! Michele liked my idea so much that she even made one for her cute little girl out of my scraps, so we got to be twinners this year! but i have to tell you she looked much cuter than I did! I told some of my fam that i would post a few pictures of our project and the big night so here they are!
